The Student Informatics Festival (SIF) 2025 invites motivated students from grades 9 to 12 to experience computer science up close. The goal of the event is to spark enthusiasm for studying computer science and to highlight the diverse nature of the discipline – spanning technical topics as well as creative, ethical, social, and societal aspects.

What participants can look forward to:

  • Exciting workshops on current topics at the intersection of computer science and society
  • Inspiring talks by students and experts
  • Campus tours offering insights into labs, projects, and everyday student life
  • Opportunities for exchange with students and faculty in an open, hands-on environment

Special highlight

The festival is organized as part of a teaching project by first-semester students of the Software Engineering degree program. As part of the course “Work Techniques”, the students independently take on the planning, organization, and execution of the entire event – a practice-oriented project that strengthens teamwork, self-organization, and communication skills.

The number of participants is limited to 150 students this year. Therefore, a binding pre-registration per school or class is required.
