Emotions as a Success Factor: 30 Feelings at connect.IT AfterWork
What Does a Board Game Have to Do with Successful Digital Transformation?
More than one might assume at first glance. This became evident during the Lightning Talk at the connect.IT AfterWork Heilbronn event on May 19.
Hubert and Brigitte from Glandolux GmbH presented their startup project 30 Feelings, a newly developed board game that addresses a topic often overlooked in IT projects: the impact of emotions on communication, collaboration between employees and managers, openness to change in response to new learning requirements (for example, through AI solutions), and the resulting capacity for innovation.
Drawing on their experience in IT and innovation management, they demonstrated how fears, power structures, and a lack of trust can hinder project success—and why consciously addressing emotions can unlock significant growth opportunities. The board game itself is far more than a simple gimmick: it provides a practical training tool for teams and leaders to recognize and actively shape these dynamics.
The response at the AfterWork event was overwhelmingly positive. The discussions that followed clearly showed that the topic resonates strongly with participants. Emotional intelligence and confidence are becoming increasingly important for leaders and innovative organizations alike, serving as a key foundation for successful transformation processes and an open culture of innovation.

This is exactly what we value at connect.IT: impulses that go beyond purely technical topics and put people at the center. After all, digital transformation is not a tool problem—it is a cultural project.
With their next public appearance at CampusFounders in Heilbronn on July 16, 2026, Hubert and Brigitte will continue their journey, bringing the topic of emotional intelligence and resilience further into the startup and business community.

A heartfelt thank you to Hubert and Brigitte for their inspiring contribution—and to all participants for the open and engaging discussions throughout the evening.
