On Thursday, March 26, Heilbronn became the meeting place for the regional AI and developer community: Together with Melotris, connect.IT Heilbronn-Franken e.V. hosted the official Codex Community Meetup - as part of the international OpenAI series.

The focus of the evening was OpenAI Codex - a powerful coding agent that helps developers create software faster and more efficiently. Numerous participants from the fields of software development, AI engineering and studies took the opportunity to discuss current developments and practical applications.

Insights, demos and practical knowledge

After a relaxed get-together, the program started with an introduction to Codex by Anish Navalgund, who guided us through the evening.

This was followed by practical insights:

  • Marina Iantorno (AI Lead, Campus Founders) gave refreshing impulses on the practical use of vibe coding in companies
  • Soham Shah (CTO, Flowbit AI) showed concrete use cases of Codex in real workflows
  • The program was complemented by other exciting demos from the community

The Q&A sessions were very well received, allowing many experiences, challenges and specific use cases relating to AI-supported software development to be discussed.

Focus on exchange

In addition to the technical impulses, the focus was primarily on personal exchange. During the networking that followed, there were intensive discussions about best practices, new workflows and the role of AI agents in software development.

Conclusion

The Meetup impressively demonstrated how strong the interest in AI-supported development is in the region and how important formats are that enable knowledge transfer and networking.

A big thank you to all speakers, participants and contributors - especially to Anish Navalgund for the excellent organization and moderation of the evening.

We are already looking forward to the next joint events!
