The format: Barcamp.

A barcamp is a so-called unconference. In contrast to a traditional conference, the entire program is designed by the participants themselves on site, i.e. there are no predetermined speakers, but all participants are called upon to contribute their own experiences, knowledge and ideas. This is what makes a barcamp so exciting. A program is spontaneously created on site from these topics, the content of which is completely determined by the participants. Experience shows that this results in a very intensive exchange of knowledge and in-depth discussions from which all participants benefit significantly more than from conventional event formats with speakers.

The following video explains the Barcamp format in a nutshell:

Who is taking part?

Our barcamp in Heilbronn is open to all participants who feel they have a thematic interest. They usually have a professional or personal connection to the Internet, social media, IT in general or are simply open-minded, committed people. The spectrum ranges from pupils and students to employees, freelancers and entrepreneurs. All bar campers have one thing in common: an interest in sharing their knowledge with other participants and at the same time opening themselves up to new ideas.

Incidentally, the Heilbronn Barcamp is a "classic Barcamp". This means that we are oriented towards the origins of the barcamp movement and therefore deal with all internet and IT topics, social media and society in general.

Before, during and after the event, there is of course a lot of posting on all social media channels. All in all, a barcamp is a very high-profile event.
