Who is this event for?

The event is for anyone who is interested in AI. Whether you are interested, an expert, a citizen or a layperson. We are happy about everyone.

Here is a structure of the event:

• Welcome and review:
  Welcome, introduction and an exciting review of developments since the last community event.

• News from the AI world:
  Robert will again introduce us to the latest trends and developments from the AI world.

• Making every voice heard:
  Christian Harms from Schwarz IT and Tristan Behrens will tell us how AI is breaking communication barriers for people with speech disabilities. In this keynote, the two will present their speech transcriber: a project that is well beyond the conception phase. They will present their already functioning prototype (MVP) and show live how it accurately converts the spoken word of people with speech disabilities into text. Learn more about their vision and the next step: the development of a fully integrated plugin for Google Workspace and Microsoft Office. Christian and Tristan give insights into how they are using open source models and a platform for personalized AI training to create a truly inclusive and adaptable solution for everyone, which could even end up being supported by health insurance companies.

• NotebookLM: The bridge between theory and practice:
  Michael Brüchler and Roland Krawietz show us how NotebookLM closes the transfer gap and anchors knowledge in everyday life, with the help of demonstrations and application examples.

• COCO - Visibility with non-discriminatory image generation:
  Timo Wagner, CEO of COCO and Founder and Design Futurist of Studio Y-si GmbH will join CO-Founder Alex Gessner on the evening to introduce us to COCO - a slightly different AI system that is a GenAI platform for non-discriminatory image generation and introduces a double paradigm shift. Unlike conventional AI systems, which describe people according to external characteristics such as gender, ethnicity or disabilities and thus reproduce stereotypes and often reinforce social clichés and prejudices, COCO introduces a new kind of "inside-out" prompting to describe people again through the most essential things: How they feel, what they do and where it takes place. COCO's mission is to create images that we can't google today and start where we can have the most impact: in textbooks.
