Max-Planck-Straße 39
74081 Heilbronn
The Faculty of Computer Science at Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences is proud to be one of eight official site hosts of the Global Game Jam 2026, as part of the state-wide initiative “GGJ goes THE LÄND”.
From January 30 to February 1, 2026, the TechCampus Heilbronn will turn into a creative hotspot for everyone who loves games – whether you are a developer, designer, sound artist, storyteller, or simply a creative gaming enthusiast.
What is the Global Game Jam?
The Global Game Jam (GGJ) is the world’s largest event for game development and creative experimentation:
- 48 hours of pure creativity
In interdisciplinary teams, participants create their own games within just two days – digital or analog. - Community & networking
Meet like-minded people, exchange ideas, and learn from fellow participants as well as experienced mentors. - A global movement
Be part of a worldwide event with thousands of participants in over 100 countries.
Why participate?
The Global Game Jam is more than a hackathon – it is a festival of ideas.
No prior experience is required: curiosity, team spirit, and the desire to create something together are what truly matter.
