Are we looking into a bright future in which AI will enable all of humanity to live a carefree and fulfilling life, or will we soon be performing labor in the Matrix under the yoke of our AI overlords? Neither is likely to happen, but the fact is that hardly any other topic has given rise to such extremely diverse visions of the future in such a short space of time - even though hardly anyone understands what AI really means.

In his keynote speech, Dominik Kuhn provides an exciting overview of artificial intelligence and the associated opportunities and risks. He packs scientifically sound facts into a format that is understandable for everyone without oversimplifying. In doing so, he combines points that are currently only discussed separately and too little, thus filling gaps in knowledge that exist in the majority of the population in a simple way. The focus is on explaining the basics, dispelling myths, balancing benefits and criticisms and drawing attention to an intuition error that most people make when it comes to AI ....
