Successful completion of the "Berufsausbildung.IT Heilbronn-Franken" project
After three exciting and varied years, our "Berufsausbildung.IT Heilbronn-Franken" project came to an end in April 2019.
On the one hand, it is a great pity that this exciting project is now coming to an end, but on the other hand, we can look back on successful work that will continue to have a positive impact on young IT talent in the Heilbronn-Franconia region even after the project ends.
Our Berufsausbildung.IT project, which was funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the European Social Fund as a JOBSTARTER plus project, covered a wide range of tasks. The development and operation of our contact and advice center was central. Here we provided information about the benefits of IT vocational training and possible support services. We worked with numerous cooperation partners, including employment agencies, job centers, chambers, educational institutions and business development agencies from the Heilbronn-Franken region. In total, we contacted over 500 small and medium-sized companies and provided them with intensive advice in many personal meetings.
Placement of applicants in the IT sector
Direct contact with interested applicants has always been important to us. Even after the end of the project, connect.IT continues to advise people and organize events to help them find a job in the IT sector and establish contact with companies. This should continue to contribute to strengthening IT vocational training in Heilbronn-Franken.
We have currently received two applicants who would like to start an apprenticeship as an IT specialist in the field of system or application development or a dual study program from September 2019.

IT specialists forum
connect.IT will continue our popular, regular events such as the IT Specialists Forum, where specialists, managers and experts can discuss current topics and developments in IT training.
Turbo IT Program Heilbronn-Franken
The "Heilbronn-Franken Turbo ITProgram" will also continue after the end of the project and the first cohort will start their training in autumn 2019. Thanks to the cooperation between the Heilbronn-Franken Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the Christian-Schmidt-Schule Neckarsulm and connect.IT and the initiative of Schwarz IT, a new training program has been created that enables IT specialists to train for a shorter period of time.
