Two-day "unconference" brings people and expertise together in a relaxed atmosphere
The second Heilbronn Barcamp will take place on Saturday, April 25 and Sunday, April 26, 2015 from 9 a.m. onwards at on the premises of Bechtle AG in Neckarsulm. The event organized by connect.IT, the IT network for the Heilbronn-Franken region, is open to anyone who wants to share their knowledge and ideas about the Internet, IT, social media, design, people and society or learn something new. With this innovative event format, also known as an "unconference" due to its unconventional character, the Heilbronn region is right on trend: barcamps are attracting more and more visitors in major cities around the world.
"Anyone who has a topic that inspires them, that they would like to present to others, or a question that they would like to discuss, is given a room and three quarters of an hour at the barcamp," explains Steffen Jung, Chairman of connect.IT Heilbronn-Franken e.V. The program for the day of the event is determined by the participants themselves at short notice in the morning. There are no predetermined speakers. Instead, all participants are encouraged to contribute their own experience, knowledge and ideas - and it works. "Experience shows that this creates exciting discussions at eye level, from which everyone benefits significantly more than from traditional event formats," says Titus Höflich, Divisional Board Member at Bechtle Managed Services AG and member of the connect.IT Board of Trustees.

Participation in both days of the event costs 20 euros. Alternatively, interested parties can become members of connect.IT for just 35 euros (or 15 euros for students and pupils), which gives them free entry to the Barcamp and other benefits. Barcamp Heilbronn is the largest event organized by the association connect.IT - the IT network for the Heilbronn-Franken region, which was founded in 2014. The network is an association of representatives from associations, existing networks, interested companies, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce and business development in the Heilbronn-Franconia region.
