Over 60 young IT talents make contact with companies from the Heilbronn area

More than 60 young IT talents were able to get to know five companies from the Heilbronn area at the second IT job shuttle on October 25, 2017. The participants had the opportunity to find out about IT job vacancies, internships and the working atmosphere at the companies. In the evening, the students and company representatives were invited to round off the day in a pleasant atmosphere at the Club Kaiser Skybar in Heilbronn and to further intensify their contacts as part of a matching activity.

The bus to the participating companies in the region departed from Heilbronn University on time at 1.30 pm. The first stop was the Schwarz Group in Neckarsulm, which showed the students the career opportunities at Lidl, Kaufland Informationssysteme and Schwarz Dienstleistungen. From providing the IT infrastructure for all 390,000 employees of the Schwarz Group to digitization projects - the areas of responsibility are extremely diverse and comprehensive. Committed young professionals are in high demand and can immediately get involved in practical projects. Not only locally, but also internationally.

The tour then continued in Neckarsulm to Bechtle, the largest independent IT system house in Germany. After a brief welcome and introduction to the company, Bechtle's digitalization and Industry 4.0 activities were presented. The innovative "myRENZbox" parcel box system was presented as a reference solution, which aroused great interest among the participating students and pupils. Finally, the focus was on the trainee program and possible positions for graduates.

The FÖRCH Group currently has over 2,800 employees, around 80,000 articles in around 50 countries and 26 sales branches in Germany. We are looking for specialists for ERP systems, IT operations, support and process management. As an employer, FÖRCH offers interesting prospects for a specialist or management career within an internationally successful group.

The next stop was the media company Heilbronner Stimme. Started as a newspaper publisher in 1946, the group of companies is now broadly positioned: the business areas range from the classic print business of daily newspapers, advertising papers and magazines to digital media, mail logistics and agency services. Today, information technologies are the basis and a central driver for the success of the media company. We are therefore looking for IT specialists who are enthusiastic about media and communication.

Finally, the digital agency INDECA in Heilbronn was visited. The participants were given a practical insight into current projects in the field of mixed reality. The innovative applications of data glasses, smartphones and tablets were presented in a wide range of areas such as distribution, sales, product presentation, product development and prototyping. Participants had the opportunity to test the HoloLens augmented reality glasses for themselves and experience interactive 3D projections in their immediate surroundings.

The companies FERCHAU Engineering, DSV Group, stratego IT management, KRUU and everysize also took part in the evening event. In order to simplify the matching between junior staff and employers, there were name badges with "matchmaker tags" as well as an online-supported matching platform to inform the participants. Participants were also able to find out about final theses, internships and jobs and exchange information on presentation walls.
