5th Barcamp Heilbronn

Two-day "unconference" brings people together in a creative atmosphere on the topics of the Internet, IT, social media, culture and people & society. The first NightCamp Heilbronn offers the opportunity to get to know this innovative event format.

The Heilbronn BarCamp will take place for the fifth time on Saturday and Sunday, March 3 and 4, 2018. This year's venue is Heilbronn University. It is aimed at anyone who wants to expand their knowledge, share experiences, discuss ideas and meet new people. There is something for everyone in terms of topics: whether on the Internet, IT, culture, people or society - anyone can suggest a topic that interests them. The Barcamp is organized by connect.IT, the IT network for the Heilbronn-Franken region. Numerous companies and institutions from the region support the event, including Schwarz IT, Bechtle, Fujitsu TDS, Admanic, Lingner Consulting New Media, Heilbronner Stimme, Siller Portal Integrators, Innovationsfabrik Heilbronn and many other sponsors and supporters.

With this innovative event format - also known as an unconference - the Heilbronn region is right on trend: "Anyone who has a topic they want to discuss is given a room and three quarters of an hour at the barcamp," says Steffen Jung, Chairman of connect.IT Heilbronn-Franken e.V. and organizer of the barcamp in Heilbronn, explaining how it works. Participants simply determine the program for the day of the event themselves in the morning. There is no pre-planned program. Instead, all participants are invited to contribute their experience, knowledge and ideas. Experience shows that this creates exciting discussions at eye level, from which everyone benefits significantly more than from traditional conferences. In addition to the exchange of experience and knowledge, there will also be plenty of networking opportunities over lunch or dinner and during the night sessions on Saturday evening.

Tickets for the Barcamp are available online. Participation on both days of the event costs 20 euros. There is a contingent of free tickets for students and pupils. Alternatively, interested parties can become a member of connect.IT for just 35 euros and receive free entry to the Barcamp and benefit from other advantages. First NightCamp Heilbronn

For all those who would like to get to know the event format before the Barcamp Heilbronn, there is the NightCamp Heilbronn on Friday, February 9, 2018 at Coworking Heilbronn. The NightCamp is open to anyone interested in discussing topics relating to people & society, urban development, the internet, social media, design and IT. At 30 minutes, the sessions are somewhat shorter than at a classic barcamp. After the sessions, the NightCamp goes straight into a chill-out party with music and drinks. Tickets cost 10 euros, further information and registration can be found at www.connect-it.hn/event/nightcamp-heilbronn.
